Nick Molyneux

Nick is one of DSP’s Associate Directors having joined us originally as a Senior Consultant from Guildford Borough Council where he was Housing Development Manager undertaking a variety of roles from starting the Council’s new build programme for affordable housing to managing the team responsible for the Council’s Housing Strategy whilst also fulfilling the Council’s housing enabling role.

At DSP, Nick brings his vast affordable housing and development experience to add to our site specific and strategic viability project capacity.

Nick’s experience of development viability comes from assessing a variety of development opportunities and acquisitions and from negotiating affordable housing via S106 where viability has often been a key consideration and where affordable housing competes with other planning requirements. He therefore understands the issues and drivers from the perspective of both the developer and the affordable housing provider as well as the planning authority, with experience of schemes ranging from a handful of rural houses up to hundreds of units in an urban setting.

Nick is a Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing (MCIH). Outside work, Nick enjoys spending time with his family. His main other interest is music – going to gigs, playing guitar, and presenting a show on local radio.
