We’ve been working with Enfield Council on viability matters over many years. Most recently, we informed and supported the Development Management DPD, and helped the Council set the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) rates for its Charging Schedule. This was a long-term project, requiring constant adjustments and revisions to conform with both national and local policies and requirements.
We worked with the client from inception, through the viability assessment process, to dealing with representations from developers. We supported the Council at the Examination Hearings, culminating in a successful defence of our recommended CIL rates, based on evidence of infrastructure planning and economic viability that the Inspector described as ‘robust, proportionate and appropriate’.
